Our updated cloud platform simplified and expanded our capability to introduce various new operating systems and control panels. We’re happy to announce that we’ve added FreeBSD to our operating system options. FreeBSD will be the first of many new options that you may not find available on all cloud platforms.

The first FreeBSD release was on November 1, 1993, over 31 years ago. It has shown that it’s not going away and continues to have a vibrant community. FreeBSD, like many of our other popular operating systems, can be configured as a web server, DNS server, mail server, and much more. As a general operating system, it can be configured as a web server, DNS server, mail server, and much more.

If you have ever been interested in FreeBSD but the idea of setting it up turned you away, this might be an opportunity to try it. The Hawk Host cloud platform allows for quick operating system reloads, and our affordable (as low as $5/month) option can power any of our operating systems, including FreeBSD. That means if you ever wanted to try, for example, pfsense at home but didn’t want to go through all that work, then you could try it at Hawk Host before you deploy it at home.

We hope to see some FreeBSD users soon, but we’re always open to suggestions if FreeBSD isn’t what you’re looking for and you are interested in another operating system or control panel. Don’t hesitate to contact our support team, who will pass it on to our engineering team for evaluation.
