Hawk Host has been nominated for Best of BitPay 2024 in the VPN/Hosting category. We would appreciate it if you voted for us. Even if we do not win, we feel honored to even be considered. It’s an opportunity to see how far Bitcoin and our cryptocurrency journey have come since March 2014.

In the first month of accepting Bitcoin, we received a total of 1 BTC, which was worth $450 at the time. Today, that identical Bitcoin would be worth over $97,000 if we had kept it. Like many describing paying 1 BTC for a Pizza, we probably have users talking about how the $5/month web hosting package would be $1000 based on today’s value, and we were no doubt one of many purchases they made at the time with their Bitcoins. Our cryptocurrency payment options have evolved since the humble beginnings when 1 BTC was worth only $450.

We started accepting Ethereum in January 2020, which was worth just $180 at the time; today, it’s worth $2736. However, it is just one of the many supported currencies today. We also support many other popular cryptocurrencies such as Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, DOGE, Ripple, etc. Officially, we support over 60 cryptocurrencies today through various wallets such as Bitpay, Coinbase, Exodus Wallet, Trust Wallet, MetaMask, Electrum Wallet, and more.

If you are ever interested in paying us in cryptocurrency, it’s easier than ever. The options have evolved significantly since 2014, and our support for cryptocurrency payments has not wavered. That is fine if you prefer to pay us using a Credit Card, PayPal, Alipay, Apple Pay, or another supported method.
